5 Things Your Wix Analytics Are Telling You (That You're Ignoring)

Most Wix site owners check their analytics once in a while, see a few numbers, and close the tab. What they don't realise is that those numbers are trying to tell them something specific — about what's working, what isn't, and exactly where they're losing money.

Here are 5 things your Wix analytics are telling you right now that you're probably ignoring.

1. Which Pages Are Killing Your Conversions

Your analytics show you which pages people land on — and which ones they immediately leave. If visitors are hitting your homepage and bouncing straight off, your homepage isn't doing its job. If they're spending time on your blog but never clicking through to your services page, you have a navigation problem.

What to do: Look at your top landing pages and check the bounce rate on each. Any page with a bounce rate above 70% needs a stronger call to action — a button, a form, something that tells the visitor what to do next.

2. Where Your Traffic Is Actually Coming From

Are your visitors coming from Google search, social media, direct links, or referrals? Most Wix site owners assume their traffic comes from social media because that's where they spend their time. The data usually tells a very different story.

What to do: Check your traffic sources. If most of your visitors are coming from direct or referral traffic, your SEO is an untapped opportunity. If social media is driving zero traffic despite daily posting, it's time to rethink your content strategy.

3. What Time Your Visitors Show Up

Your analytics track when people visit your site. If most of your visitors arrive on Tuesday evenings and you're publishing content on Saturday mornings, you're publishing at the wrong time — and most of your audience never sees it fresh.

What to do: Match your publishing and posting schedule to when your audience is actually online. For Nigerian audiences, weekday evenings (7pm–10pm) and Saturday afternoons tend to perform strongly.

4. Which Products or Services Get the Most Attention

If you sell services or products on your Wix site, your analytics tell you which ones people are clicking on and which ones they're ignoring. Most business owners promote everything equally — but your data already knows which offer resonates most with your audience.

What to do: Double down on whatever is getting the most clicks and enquiries. If your web development service page gets 10x more views than your social media management page, that's where to focus your energy and marketing spend.

5. How Many Leads You're Losing at the Form Stage

Every form submission in your analytics represents someone who took action. But what about the visitors who clicked on your contact page and left without submitting? That gap — between page views and form submissions — is your lead leakage rate.

What to do: Simplify your contact form. The more fields you ask for, the fewer people complete it. Name, email, and one question is enough to start a conversation. You can get the rest later.

See All of This in One Place With Wix Insight Flow

Reading through multiple Wix dashboards to piece all of this together is time-consuming and easy to get wrong. That's why I built Wix Insight Flow — a custom dashboard that pulls all your Wix site data into one clean view so you can see exactly what's happening in your business at a glance.

  • Traffic and performance — in one screen

  • Sales, orders, bookings, and form submissions — tracked together

  • Business insights — displayed the way you want them

  • Automations — notifications and follow-ups that run themselves
